Leather is a natural material known for its beauty and durability. Properly maintained, it should last longer than most other materials.

• Wipe over regularly with a damp, soft cloth.
• Dust and vacuum regularly, keeping gaps between cushions free of dirt — dirt can scratch the surface.

Condition the leather every 3–4 months with a leather conditioning product, paying special attention to areas exposed to bare skin, hair or clothing.

Keep leather away from heat sources and direct sunlight, which cause damage over time.

• Do not use household cleaners — they damage the finish. Only use genuine leather cleaning products.
• Clean spills straight away by gently blotting with a clean, dry, absorbent cloth. If it stains, consult a professional upholstery cleaner.
• Keep sharp or abrasive objects away from the leather — including pets.

Leather can be damaged by chemicals and fluids that are not applied directly and may not be obvious, including:

• Hairspray and other hair products
• Deodorants and perfumes
• Moisturisers and other skin care products
• Human bodily fluids including perspiration, especially where certain medications are being taken

Regular cleaning and conditioning helps, as does using throws over arm rests, head rests and seat cushions. Damage that appears to have been caused by these chemicals or fluids is not covered under warranty.
